Well Johnny made his living out of selling cars. He was spending all his money at the local bars. He’s gotta get out of this town. Mary was the girl that held his fancy. She talked like him but looked like Nancy. I can’t imagine just what he found.
He said, “Used to spend all my days just waiting for that midnight train. Just to take me anywhere the same. I’m not sure where to go, what I might find or who I know. All I want is for you to come along.

I hopped aboard a rail-way car, as a stow-away I didn’t get far. Sheriff come and drag me by my feet. Don’t stop to look at me ‘cuz I’m a haunted man, can’t you see. All I needed was a plan.
